Personal Information is information that identifies you. We collect personal information only to enable us to process orders for a product or service that you purchase from us. The type of information we collect (but is not limited to) is as follows:

  • Email Address - This is used to contact you regarding any pitch booking you may have made with us. To maintain future contact with us it is important that you opt-in to our mailing list. If you opt-in to our mailing list we will save this information to advise you of any information or problems that may occur regarding a booking and to advise you of any Discount Vouchers, Offers or Promotions we may have in the future. We only share this information within our company, including our two other holiday parks and our web hosting and marketing company Fruu. This is to enable us and them to keep you informed of events and products or services that we feel will be of interest to you. You can unsubscribe from our mailing list at any time by emailing us at finance@shardlowmarina.co.uk. Please use the term "unsubscribe" in the subject line.
  • Delivery Address - We do not save this information for future use.
  • Billing Address - We do not save this information for future use
  • Telephone Number - Used to enable us to contact you regarding any problem we may have in processing your order or pitch booking. This can also sometimes be passed on to our courier if you are buying a product for example, but is only to enable them to make correct and speedy delivery. We do not save this information for future use.
  • Debit or Credit Card number and expiry date and we share this information with our current card processing company. We do not save this information for future use.

SECURE PAYMENT PROCESSING

We take our responsibility seriously for any transactions you undertake on this site. All transactions are processed away from this site by our current card processing company. Information passed between this site and their systems is encrypted using 128-bit SSL certificates. No cardholder information is ever passed unencrypted and any messages sent to our servers from them are signed using MD5 hashing to prevent tampering. You can be completely assured that nothing you pass to their servers can be examined, used or modified by any third parties attempting to gain access to sensitive information.

We will only keep personal information for as long as it is necessary and we will endeavour to keep it up to date.

COLLECTION OF INFORMATION

Collection of information is undertaken lawfully and in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and GDPR which came into force on 25 May 2018. Subsequently we do our best to ensure that your details are kept up to date and as accurate as possible. We collect information when any purchases are made or when users register with our site/s. Users who do not register with, or purchase from, this or any of our sites, do not need to provide any Personal Information to use the site/s.

Please note that we do collect limited non-personal information offered by browsers when a user visits our site/s. This information includes the use of “Cookies” and/or “Web Beacons” which are small text files sent to your computer in order to both measure the effectiveness of any advertising campaign we may undertake from time to time and to better understand how people use our site/s. SALE OF GOODS
All prices quoted on this and any of our other sites are quoted Ex Works and we reserve the right to charge carriage on all products purchased.

Prices quoted are exclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated, in which case the VAT amount will be clearly shown. VAT will be charged at the ruling rate.

DESCRIPTIONS

Whilst we endeavour to ensure our Sales Particulars are correct and fair it must be stressed that they are issued only as a general guide. They do not form part of any contract either express or implied and we point out that we have not tested any equipment or appliances to establish a working condition or not and any measurements are only approximate so should not be relied upon as such.

FORCE MAJEURE.
Ron Grundy (Melbourne) Limited shall be under no liability if he shall be unable to carry out any provision of the contract for any reason beyond its control including (without limiting the foregoing) Act of God, legislation, war, fire, flood, drought, failure of power supply, lock-out, strike or other action taken by employees in contemplation or furtherance of a dispute or owing to any inability to procure materials required for the performance of the contract. During the continuance of such a contingency the customer may by written notice to Ron Grundy (Melbourne) Limited elect to terminate the contract and pay for work done and materials used, but subject thereto shall otherwise accept delivery when available.

JURISDICTION
Your use of this website and any dispute arising out of such use of the website, and this agreement, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England and Wales.

Pitch Booking Terms & Conditions

Our Terms & Conditions for Booking a Pitch

Please ensure that you read the following Terms & Conditions prior to booking a pitch on our holiday park.

We would like everyone to enjoy their stay at Shardlow Marina Caravan Park, therefore by making a booking you agree to adhere to the terms and conditions set out below.

ARRIVAL/DEPARTURE TIMES:

Arrivals only between 12 noon and 7pm (unless agreed by us in advance).

Please vacate pitches by 11am on the day of departure.

Late arrivals must notify Shardlow Marina as soon as possible. Your booking will be held until 12 noon the day after your booked arrival date. After this period we reserve the right to re-allocate your pitch.

PITCH NUMBER:

Please use the pitch allocated to you. If you go onto the wrong pitch you will be asked to move.

PARKING:

Caravans should be sited with the jockey wheel on the slab displaying the pitch number so that it can be pulled off easily in case of an emergency. Motorhomes and tents should position themselves centrally in relation to the numbered slab. One car is allowed per pitch and must be parked beside your unit, not in front. This is a safety requirement in case of emergency. Parking is not allowed on the boaters parking area (roadway) at any time. Additional parking for visitors must be arranged in advance. Commercial vehicles are not allowed.

FOBS:

Fobs will not work after the time due off site on your departure day. Fobs are not to be used by children. All fobs to be returned to the Park Warden when on duty or placed in the red letterbox outside the Warden’s hut. The Marina Office is open daily 9am - 5pm except Tuesdays 9am – 1pm.

BEHAVIOUR:

Please be considerate towards your fellow campers and treat them with the respect that you would expect in return. We reserve the right to refuse entry or ask campers to leave the site if we feel it is appropriate.

CHILDREN:

Must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Please keep children away from the barriers. Please do not allow children to be unattended in the toilets and showers. Bicycles, scooters, skateboards, segways and other such similar items must not be used on the roadways.

DOGS:

Must be kept on short leads at all times everywhere on the premises and on a short tether at the caravan or tent so they cannot reach children or passing pedestrians. Please remember not everyone likes dogs. Dogs must not be left alone inside or outside your unit and must be supervised by an adult at all times. Dog kennels are not permitted. Faeces must be removed immediately and the touring field should not be used as a dog exercise area.

BARBECUES/FIRES:

Barbecues are allowed if used sensibly in open spaces and raised off the ground. Do not leave them unattended. No open fires permitted, including fire pits.

CAMPING EQUIPMENT:

No washing lines to be suspended between camping units and/or trees. Generators are not permitted on site.

GROUPS:

It is not permitted to link units together by means of awnings, windbreaks, gazebos, etc.…

A CLEAR SPACE MUST BE LEFT BETWEEN EACH UNIT. Unaccompanied under 21’s, male-only & female-only parties are not accepted.

NOISE:

Quiet hours must be respected between 11pm and 8am. Music and TV’s must be kept at a low volume. Car doors and boots must be closed quietly. Please be aware that anyone behaving unreasonably or creating noise disturbance after 11pm will be asked to leave immediately without a refund.

COMPLAINTS:

In the event of a complaint, please speak to the Park Warden or office staff immediately. Complaints which are not brought to the management’s attention during your stay cannot be dealt with once you have left the site.

AMENDMENTS/CANCELLATIONS:

If you need to cancel or amend your booking, please give as much notice as possible. Bookings cannot be amended within 7 days of arrival.

Bookings are nominative and not transferable between persons/parties.

Please note that payments are non-refundable. It is advisable to purchase holiday insurance in the event that you may wish to recover any monies paid in the event of cancellation due to illness or bereavement.

Amendments are subject to a £15 administration fee.

No refunds/discounts are due for inclement weather, late arrival or early departure.

COVID-19:

As the COVID-19 pandemic is still ongoing, it is important that we continue to follow Government guidelines to maintain a safe environment for both our staff and customers. In light of this the toilets, showers and laundry remain closed. All visitors to the touring park must be fully self-contained with their own facilities. Tents are not permitted at this time.

From 4th July, you can meet in a group of up to six people from multiple households, or in a group of two households even if this is more than six people. Please do not gather in groups larger than this whilst staying on the caravan park.

Please observe the safety notices around the site and be respectful of our 2-metre social distancing rule.

Please use the hand sanitiser provided before and after using the water points, Elsan disposal and all other communal surfaces.

Children must be accompanied at all times.

Please do not come to the site if you, or any member of your household are displaying symptoms. If you become unwell whilst on site, please isolate yourself and all members of your party in your caravan/motorhome and call the office/Park Warden immediately.

Anyone not adhering to these rules will be asked to leave site immediately.
